Disney planning 3-D Blu-ray discs

Read this.

Disney has developed a method of digital 3-D presentation for the home. The technology will first be used on the Blu-ray release of the Hannah Montana concert film, which will be on DVD/Blu-ray this August.

Disney and Pixar have got to find a way to put this technology to good use rather than squandering it on a movie for tone-deaf preteen girls!

Actually, I'd be surprised if we don't see a 3-D version of WALL-E or maybe even Finding Nemo on Blu-ray, considering what Andrew Stanton said regarding the possibility of WALL-E being converted into stereoscopic 3-D at a later date.

(Please note that the above logo for 3-D Blu-ray is only a mock-up.)
