Variet•E and first WALL-E Oscar ad

The campaign begins!

Today's issue of Daily Variety (that's the daily newspaper edition of Variety) speaks for itself. Disney bought the cover to promote WALL-E for "consideration in all categories including Best Picture and Best Animated Feature".

Additionally, this ad is now running online at Variety.com. More ads are sure to follow.

(As I walk around the college wearing a WALL-E T-shirt, I sudennly feel like I'm helping. . . at least a tiny bit.)
Aside from that, is there something us non-insiders can do?

Its too bad the Academy will never consider a Best Director nom for Mr. Stanton. He deserves it.

Uh, no. Unfortunately.

Oh, and Fred Willard for Best Supporting Actor ;)

What defines "All Categories" in the oscars? Does that mean that they are even going for like...costuming and makeup?

Wouldn't be surprising, paz... WALL•E's texturing is really good! ehehehe...

I really do think they deserve best animated feature... I can't think of an animated film released this year that is better...

Here are some awards I think WALL-E could Possibly be nominated for

Best Original Score
Best Orignial Song
Best Sound Design
Best Animated Feature
Best Picture

and some of the editing ones

BTW, Would someone be willing to tell me what WALL-E's compitition is for at least the nomination for Best Picture? I know Dark Knight, but other than that, I personally do not know of any other films that are getting Best Picture buzz. If anyone could tell me, That'd be great
