Big news about 'The Art of Pixar Short Films'

I'm currently working on an interview with Amid Amidi, author of The Art of Pixar Short Films, to be published next month around the time the book (see here for more) hits stores (Amazon.com says February 25). He got my first batch of questions today ―we're doing it via email― and I'm really looking forward to his responses.

Amid tells me that he got his hands on an advance copy of the finished work yesterday and is "very pleased with how it turned out". I'm getting my advance copy "early" next month courtesy of Amid and Chronicle Books ―woohoo!― and will have some more on the book then.

so will this have every pixar short film, or will it exclude the ones featuring the characters from their full-length films?
either way, hope to find pages on "presto," "lifted" and "one man band!"

I would assume all of Pixar's short films will be covered, including the DVD shorts. Exciting!

yes, very!
so this must be volume 1, right?
assuming, of course, pixar doesn't cease creating excellent short films?
if so, that's even more exciting! all the pixar "art of..." books are such a great companion to their blu-ray/dvd counterparts =)

The shorts covered in the book are:

Adventures of Andre and Wally B.
Luxo Jr.
Red's Dream
Tin Toy
Knick Knack
Geri's Game
For the Birds
Boundin'
One Man Band
Lifted
Mike's New Car
Jack-Jack Attack
Mater and the Ghostlight

This list comes directly from the author.

So the book will cover only the films included on the shorts Vol. 1 DVD.

Nothing on the shorts released after that, such as Presto. That'll be Vol. 2! Makes sense...
