The official Pixar website (pixar.com) is now showing off Up on the home page, replacing the WALL-E theme that previously greeted visitors to the site. Visitors will now encounter one of three images from Up on the home page.Frankly, it's time that Pixar considered giving the site a complete redesign. Walt Disney Animation Studios (disneyanimation.com) got their new website last year and, honestly, it looks much more modern and sleek than Pixar's looks right now.

They will probably update it, when Toy Story 3 comes!
What? Safari on Windows? Thought you were a Mac guy ;P
Work.
Hmm.. There's barely a difference between the two websites..
O_o
Yeah their long over do for a redesign I think. they've had the same basic site since toy story 2. maybe longer, but that was the first time I think I visited the site.
I'd like more content. character sketches, interviews, the works. I understand if they don't want to reveal much about upcoming movies, that's always been their policy, but at least give me something for past movies and projects. no fluff like games though. leave that for disney's sites.
:(
Waah no more Wall-E
Well all the Wall-E craziness was fun while it lasted.
Content is king. Fluff is out.
When will people learn that this isn't the 1999-2004 era of "How many bells & whistles can we pack into a single webpage?"
As long as they provide timely quality content that is minimally presentable (ie something that doesn't look like it's from the year 1997), does it really matter?
I don't think it needs a redesign.
They are focusing on their films which is good. However, that means, what is the purpose of their website? It really has none.
I like the simplicity of it, and I use to really enjoy the artist's corner, but that hasn't been updated in years.
In some way's I feel like Pixar is turning into a machine. They don't even have time for a quick interview for their employees to make the website feel more personal and hand crafted.
There's no reason to go there except for renderman and job info.
You know, I actually like the simplicity of the Pixar website. It looks classy! But I admit the new WDFA site is prettier (albeit very similar).
It would be nice to see some more content, though, like Kyle said.

Sadly agree. Sometimes I wander around and read Jan Pinkava's little corner. :( Bring back fond memories.
