Peter Gabriel's "Down to Earth", from the WALL-E soundtrack, won the Best Song (Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media) Grammy just about an hour ago, at the 51st annual Grammy Awards, taking place tonight in Los Angeles.WALL-E composer Thomas Newman's composition "Define Dancing" was given the Best Instrumental Arrangement prize.
The motion picture awards, and several others, are handed out prior to the start of the televised ceremony, during the Grammy "pre-show".
Newman was on hand to accept both awards.

Woah, hadn't seen the Define Dancing win reported elsewhere, thanks for taking the time to find that one out. That's two Grammy awards for WALL-E, now all he's missing is that Oscar. Somehow I think Pixar isn't missing that Annie statue very much right now. :)
Fantastic news!
Congrats!
Yay! I downloaded the album and Define Dancing is one of my favorite songs. Down to Earth is a beautiful and meaningful song. I think it's gotten the most plays on my ipod ever!
