Several Pixarians were in attendance at today's Oscar Nominees Luncheon, held at the The Beverly Hilton, where each nominee was handed an Official Certificate of Nomination by A.M.P.A.S. president Sid Ganis in advance of the 81st Annual Academy Awards taking place later this month.
Among them were Ed Catmull (see here for why), Pete Docter, and, of course, Andrew Stanton (who stood next to the drool-inducingly-hot Penelope Cruz and Anne Hathaway). Other familiar faces included WALL-E sound designer Ben Burtt, as well as Byron Howard and Chris Williams, directors of Disney's Bolt.

what a great photo.. many other familiar non-pixar faces as well! mickey rourke, amy adams, kate winslet, marisa tomei, ron howard to name the ones that i noticed. =)
Excellent photo. I think it's funny that Andrew and Ed are the only two in the crowd sporting jeans.
Correction: make that BLUE jeans. I just spotted another guy with black jeans. Serves me right for posting without checking my facts. :)

Standing next to Penelope Cruz definitely makes up for the Annie snubs (not really, but it's a nice consolation prize). Andrew Stanton totally got one up on Brad Bird who got the joy last year of standing next to Michael Moor (and in the picture he doesn't look very happy about it).
