Aflac! In a press release detailing a new marketing campaign, American supplemental health and life insurance company Aflac announced today that one future commercial starring its lovably grumpy Aflac Duck —Aflac!— "is being produced with the Academy Award-winning Pixar Animation Studios and features characters from the soon-to-be released film, Up."The New York Times reports that the TV spot will "depict the duck, a balloon in his teeth, floating in the sky with the movie’s main characters." Aflac!
Sounds like a very fun tie-in; the Aflac commercials are already some of my favourites. Disney/Pixar should do more of these.
Aflaaaac!

Hey Mike! Judging from that post, you must really like the Aflac duck!
I love the Aflac Duck!
I think this is too commercial. Do they really need this? The duck is not bad for a commercial but it seems like such a sellout.
I think it might be a competition thing. Do you guys remember the SuperBowl commercial for the "Lizard water" (whatever the heck that flavored water stuff is called!) with the characters from Monsters vs. Aliens dancing around with the lizards? Maybe Pixar's just trying to advertise more. I do like Pixar better than DreamWorks, but DreamWorks is WAAAAY better than Pixar when it comes to advertising.
I don't think it's selling out. They're using mainstream art content to broaden their market reach. Besides, the duck is lovable and he compliments the films "spirit".
