'Up' score track title discovered

Contained in the description of a forthcoming compilation album of music from Pixar's ten feature films, called Pixar's Greatest Hits (cover pictured; pre-order at DisneyShopping.com), is the title of one of the instrumental tracks from Up. "Memories Can Weigh You Down" -- Score the description reads.

Considering the title and how it should fit in with Up's plot, this has got to be one real tear-jerker sentimental piece of music, and possibly a highlight of Michael Giacchino's score for the film. Up's "Define Dancing" if you will.

Great post. You are always so amazing at finding news about Pixar. I love your blog so much. Anyone know when we can expect the Up soundtrack to be available for purchase??? I cannot wait. It sounds very much like it keeps with the Miyazaki-esque flavor of the movie. Michael Giacchino is a genius.

Derrick Clements: Thanks for your kind comments and for following TPB. The Up soundtrack should be out mid to late May.

Russell: Stay tuned.

You think "Memories Can Weigh You Down", is the song with vocals?

No, as pointed out it's a track from the score.

Probably the part where they're showing Carl and Ellie's marriage life--or maybe a part where Carl is remembering her.
