Selected 'Up' reviews (Part I)

With Up opening in theatres the day after tomorrow, reviews from film critics across North America are beginning to pour in.

Here are just a few:

Many more reviews will be published tomorrow, so check back for updates.

Up already carries a 96% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes with a total of 47 reviews counted, 45 of which are positive. This gives Up a Certified Fresh rating on the site.

The consensus:

"Another masterful work of art from Pixar, Up is an exciting, hilarious, and heartfelt adventure impeccably crafted and told with wit and depth."

Surely I'll agree. And that brings me to the following: Unlike last year with WALL-E, I won't be writing a formal critique of Up myself. I couldn't attend the advanced screening held yesterday in Toronto due to a last minute change in plans and so I'll be seeing Up opening day Friday (like everybody else!) and will post merely to say how amazing it was :)

It's too bad those two reviewers gave it a rotten review, but since when has a movie stayed at 100% at RottenTomaotes?

Oh no! : ( So why weren't you able to attend the screening?

One of those two negative reviews is ridiculous. Reality is never a Pixar issue.

He's obviously being anti-Pixar just for the sake of it. Saying that Pixar is taking over America--well, if anyone else could make good animated movies, then maybe it wouldn't seem like that!

At least the other review makes some sense.

I don't know if I'll see it opening day, but that'll be where I post my review is on the comments on his own review.
