This month, Pixar Blog readers will be treated to a pair of new interviews with Peter Sohn, director of Partly Cloudy, and Tim Hauser, author of The Art of Up. (Believe me, I tried to get Pete Docter too, but didn't due to a technicality.)
I spoke with Mr. Sohn, who tells me he has read TPB, over the phone for about twenty minutes earlier today and enjoyed the conversation greatly. The interview had its moments: My tape recorder stopped working about ten minutes in. To quote me, "Oh, s***!"
We covered a handful of topics, ranging from his inspiration for the film, to John Lasseter's assistance, to whether he believed the 'babies come from storks' story as a kid. Also discussed were his feature-directing ambitions. Expect the transcript in the next while.
My in-depth discussion with Tim Hauser, which will take place via email, will be published near the end of the month. The Art of Up hits bookstores on May 26.

Can't wait to read it! Did you get the second half recorded at all or are you just going to have to try to remember it?
Sohn waited while I got the recorder to work, which it did.
Congrats on getting the interviews man. That's really cool - can't wait to read 'em.
Now, I know that it's kinda off-topic, but could you please clear something up for me? There is a screening of Up at the CN Tower in Toronto. It seems that some people here think that you're going. It's apparently on the weekend before it opens.
Can you please answer this? (Whether or not you're going?)
The screening I'm going to is on the 27th at the AMC Yonge/Dundas Square. It'll be in 3-D.
I only asked because I found this on Tribute. It says you can see Up at the CN Tower on the weekend of May 22nd-24th. Do you have any info on this screening?
