A new character that will be appearing in Toy Story 3 makes a cameo appearence in Up, in a scene shown in the trailers no less, the MTV Movies Blog has deduced (here and here) after getting some helpful hints from Pete Docter and Up producer Jonas Rivera.The pink teddy bear on the floor of the girl's bedroom in the scene pictured above (around minute 1:04 in the teaser trailer; see inset for closer look) will play a major role in the film. No further information on the character, such as its name, was revealed.
This is, of course, only the latest installment in Pixar's in-joke and self-reference tradition.

This one scene has so many Easter Eggs. The flowers on the wall are like Boo's door from Monsters Inc., of course the Luxo Jr. Ball, The pictures on the wall include a drawing of Kevin & Dug and another picture of one of the dogs from the film, and the girl is playing with a toy plane and the film has a heavy emphasis on planes and flight.
I made a vector version of this image for my deviantart page; I would never have suspected that that bear would appear in Toy Story 3! (Maybe that's Ned Beatty's role, if not Shakes the Rattle?)

I saw that bear the first time I saw the teaser, for some reason it stood out to me, but to be honest my mind wandered to "The Bear and The Bow", not "Toy Story 3"
