Toy Story 3 teaser attached to 'Up'

To my embarrassment, as commenters are pointing out, I overlooked a really big detail when inspecting the newly updated Pixar Projection site: The very first teaser trailer for Toy Story 3 will be shown in theatres with Up, months earlier than previously expected. This is likely the teaser that was premiered at ShoWest last month.

The 'TS3' trailer is mentioned on the Specifications page, but only in the section about digital presentation of Up (such as in 3-D) so this may mean that traditional presentations of the film won't show the teaser. The trailer is not technically attached to Up but will be supplied to cinemas separately.

It had previously been announced that a teaser would be attached to the Toy Story/Toy Story 2 3-D re-release in October, although there had been rumors recently that it would be shown before Up. Now expect a different, longer trailer in the fall.

One thing's for sure: It will be very nice to see Woody, Buzz, and the other toys on the big screen again after all these years.

It sure will! Do you know if it's gonna be the same deal all around the world or just in the U.S.?

Awesome news! I'm actually glad Pixar is continuing the tradition of showing teasers for their next film before the current one.

Especially after the practice was broken last year when an Up trailer was not shown before WALL-E.

If I'm reading their projection site correctly, the Toy Story 3 trailer is only being supplied with the digital version of the Up. The 35mm specs list The Princess and the Frog with the 35mm instead, and the specific time lengths they list do not seem to suggest any Toy Story 3 trailer with this round of 35mm prints. I'm guessing they didn't have time to include it with the 35mm, which takes longer to physically print.

this was a mistake. it looks like the TS3 teaser will not be shown after all.
