Talking to SCI FI Wire, Up producer Jonas Rivera revealed the title and basic plot of the feature-based short film to be included on the Up DVD and Blu-ray, out sometime this fall.Dug's Special Mission will give "a little bit of the backstory of what Dug was actually doing" before encountering Carl and Russell in Up. The short will be directed by Up story supervisor Ronnie Del Carmen.
Rivera also talks about the fact that there will be "tons of documentaries and stuff like that" included on the home video releases of Up.
