Toy Story/Toy Story 2 in 3-D poster

A refreshing piece of news during a very slow news month, Collider has spotted one of the very first posters for the re-release of Pixar's Toy Story and Toy Story 2 as a 3-D double feature, starting October 2 and continuing for two weeks only.

While the quality of the image at right is not great, it's a nice preview of what we can expect from Disney's marketing campaign for the release.

Relatedly, I was told recently that the first press/advanced screenings of the films in 3-D will probably happen sometime after 'early September'.

That looks very cool! I will definitely be getting my friends to see this with me - our generation was still young when these movies came out.

Movies you shouldn't watch anytime soon:
Toy Story 1
Toy Story 2
Beauty and the Beast

...wait untill they're re-released in theaters in 3D and subsequently DVD/Blu-Ray.

Indeed. And I'd add that it's been reported that Beauty and the Beast in 3-D will be spectacular.

Not a very slow news month...

SUPER slow news month! 5 posts and you're only halfway through July!

Ahhh! Very frustrating! It's always better when there's lots of solid news.

Well, hopefully comic con should bring some..

Not that it would be very interesting, but will they also re-release both films in 2D as well? (For those who want to see it again in a theater but don't want to pay for 3D.)

Okay.. now, what about France? or Europe. Always the lasts... IF we get something.
The only dates I found are may 5 and may 12 2010 for toy story 1 and 2, july 2010 for the third. (btw, Up is not yet released... what? Up is on Pirate b**? No! I'll wait to see it in theatre. But what about other people? That's an other debate ^^.. but that's the same story for each Pixar..)

Now as far as I know Disney/buenavista France politics... the chances to have the movies in 3D in only 2 or 3 theatres (probably only in Paris..), for an oversized price, are very high. That probably includes : take the train to go do disneyland ressort paris for 16€ to go and back from paris + 9€ the ticket + 3€ for the glasses + 5€ for the corns? ^^ and that... two times.
Thanks Disney :) I love to give you money.
Sincerly... I hope I'm wrong (maybe you can take off the train).... but this kind of special releases here are often rip off for the public.

Wait and see :)
Have a Nice day ^^

If there's just ONE movie you want to watch, I'm sure you can get in--like, for example, if you just like Toy Story, you can leave after it's over. If you just wanna see TS2, you can buy a ticket and show up late. I haven't tried that last trick, but I think it works!

Yeah, I believe theatres will be posting showtimes for both films.
