LEGO Steve Jobs

I usually never post stuff like this but this is honestly one of the best things I've seen all day. Pixar animator Angus MacLane built this miniature "CubeDude" Steve Jobs out of Lego pieces. The resemblance is incredible!

MacLane is well known for his many Lego creations, which include Pixar characters from time to time, but I believe this is the first time a Pixar co-founder has been the subject.

As a side note, Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich recently tweeted that he's on the guest list for tomorrow's big Apple event where Jobs is expected to introduce the long-awaited Apple slate/tablet iPad. "Whenever I'm invited, it's something awwwwwwesome..." He's on Steve's "nice" list, I guess.

Do you like LEGO, Mike? What about an IPAD, will you be getting one?

Anonymous #1: Just by following the various live blogs, (i.e. Engadget, Mac Rumors, etc.)

Anonymous #2: It's been a while since I last played with Lego. Loved it as a kid.

Not sure whether I'll be getting an iPad yet. It's certainly a very beautiful product...

This guy's Flickr photos are amazing. I especially loved his "BURN•E" figure. It takes a lot of planning, skill, and coordination to get stuff like that done.

I watched Jobs's keynote speech introducing the iPad. They often showed the audience, and a few times, Lee Unkrich was clearly visible, sitting next to Pete Docter. Jobs also used the Married Life montage to demonstrate the movie capabilities of the iPad, saying that he loved Up and that it was one of his favorite sequences in any movie. Pretty good for the Pixar people.
