The response to Visiting Pixar: Inside the Studio, published one week ago, has been nothing short of tremendous. Quite understandably, Pixar fans from around the world have been thrilled to see the new photos of the main building, with its grand atrium, chic employee eatery, and monstrous doormen!
But the studio building is, of course, only part of what makes Pixar's campus so remarkable. The beautiful, park-like grounds, with they're lush greenery and impeccably-manicured lawns, add much to the studio's unique work environment. And that's the theme of this post.
When viewing these photos, keep in mind that they're arranged in order as if walking through the campus grounds from the main doors (pictured above) to the massive gate on Park Avenue at Watts Street.

It always amazes me how much detail and artistry Disney and Pixar have when it comes to architecture! It can look like one huge playground at times, and then the next minute, just a beautiful tree-covered walkway with just enough sun peeking through to make it perfect!

The campus is beautiful and beyond... I agree with Steph, the detail and artistry of the architecture is amazing! May be I'm just being a freak here, but I love the brickwall... its colors!!

What is written on the road in the picture under the parking lot pic? Kinda looks like a racetrack...
Is the giant Luxo ball moveable? Or is it "bolted" (or whatever) to the ground?
I was once there, but I (of course) had to stay on Park Avenue and gaze longingly in. I had my dad snap a photo of me in front of the gates, at least.
