Exclusive: Pixar atrium time-lapse video

You've may have heard that the atrium, the "town square" of the main building on Pixar's campus in Emeryville, California, is abuzz with activity throughout the day as hundreds of studio employees go through it, meeting and interacting with others. Now you get to see it as never before!

While visiting the studios early last month I had a chance to set up a camera and record a short time-lapse video of the atrium, embedded below via YouTube. It was a press day, of course, so the atrium was even busier than usual.

For music, I've used —hope I don't get in trouble— the score "To Infinity and Beyond" from the wonderful Toy Story soundtrack, composed by Randy Newman. The video is sped up and slowed down to match the music's tempo. Quirky!

This is cool! I'm so bad with faces so I couldn't tell--but were there any famous Pixarians (or celebs) in the video?

Haha, that was great.

That was cool, Mike. Also, about the Chicago screening, when I go, I'm going to ask Lee if he knows anything about any particular PIXAR sequels and/or if he knows anything about them. Thanks again, Mike!

The Movie Kid: If you're talking about the college cliffhanger screenings, Lee won't be there. He only appears in a video at the beginning and in a video at the end with Tim and Tom.
