Michael Keaton on Ken

Michael Keaton, voice of 'girl's toy' Ken in Toy Story 3, talks to AMC's Filmcritic.com about getting to play such a famous toy; Ken's insecurities and love of fashion; working with Pixar, and playing with dolls on the recording set.

Read it here.

Of course, Ken "takes umbrage at the idea [of being a 'girl's toy']. He gets very defensive. ...I think that's probably at the core of being Ken."

Any solutions, Mike?

It was working fine when I posted it. I think the website is having a temporary problem. It's giving me a "Forbidden" notice. I'll check back in a while.

I bumped into Michael Keaton on the street a few days ago. Over by Chinatown here in San Francisco.
I said "Hey, Michael Keaton".
He didn't seem to happy to be recognized. He just started walking much quicker than he had been.
I guess some people enjoy being recognized and some don't.

Maybe it wasn't him...

There is no doubt that it was him. Plus it makes sense for him to be in town with Pixar just over the bridge. He looked at me when I said it. He just didn't want to be noticed. He had big sunglasses on to try to hide his face.

I'll check again tomorrow as well.

And Mike #2: That's pretty cool! I never get to see famous people. (Except maybe Matt Thiessen, if he counts, from a distance.)
