Amazon.com has listed for pre-order multiple editions of Toy Story 3 on Blu-ray Disc (BD) and DVD with a release date of November 2, 2010.Available (shown at top from left) will be a basic 1-disc DVD, a 2-disc Blu-ray set, and a 4-disc combo pack that includes the film on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital copy. There may be other editions that have not yet been listed for pre-order.
Few content details and technical specs for the titles have been made public, but that should change soon. Check back here for the latest.
The product page for the 4-disc combo pack does briefly outline included extras for that set. Happily, there will be more animated Studio Stories ("Where's Gordon", "Cereal Bar", "Clean Start").
As for cover art, my favourite is definitely the one for the 2-disc BD. The dark background gives it a stylish look and makes the characters really pop.

Yay! I'v been waiting for a release date! I'm so excited for this to some out on DVD!
I agree, the 2-Disk Blu-ray totally has the best cover. The characters kinda blend in to the background a bit on the other two.
We'll be getting the combo pack, so we can watch the DVD now, and already have the Blu-ray copy for once we get a Blu-ray player.
It looks like it will have a lot of great bonus features. I love watching all the behind the scenes stuff.

I like the 2-disc set cover the most as well. I'm not sure if I'm going to get it or not - I was hoping they'd have a special set with all three movies coming out together as a collectors edition. I held off getting TS 1 & 2 on Blu-Ray because I wanted it to come with the digital copies as well. Thanks for the update on the release date.
I'll probably go for the 4 disc combo pack.
They should probably wait on the tagline on the bottom. TS3 is on the way to become the #1 FILM of the year.
I think I'll buy it on iTunes in HD. I did it with Up and it was great for my needs.

2 disc is the best cover, TS3 is the best animated film EVER. If not, it's up there.
I'm disappointed because they didn't follow the same kind of artwork from the first two. I like continuity :(
I wouldn't be surprised if sometime soon they anounce a 2-disc version of the DVD. When they first announced the DVD/BD details for Up, I believe there was only a 1 disc version DVD, and later on they announced a 2 disc version. I hope they do this for TS3 because I want a bunch of special features for the dvd.
I will be getting the 1 Disc DVD, unless they come out with a 2 Disc one before Nov. 2nd.

@AnthonyT - I live in a trailer (mobile home, whatever), no room for a big (new, expensive) HD TV. Then after that, I could get a blu-ray player, and then the DVD.

JUST WONDERED IF ANYONE KNOWS IF THERE IS ANY CHANCE THEY MIGHT RELEASE THE 2 DISC COLLECTORS EDITION OF TOY STORY 3 ON DVD? HAVE GOT THE OTHER 2 IN THIS FORMAT AND WOULD LIKE TO COMPLETE THE SET!
