Amazon.com is listing a mysterious 4-disc Toy Story 3 Blu-ray (BD) with a release date of December 19, 2010.According to Blu-ray.com, rumour has it that this special edition, coming about a month and a half after the regular BD and DVD releases, will include 'TS3' in 3-D for viewers with 3-D capable televisions and players.
Keep in mind that Dec. 19 falls on a Sunday, not a Tuesday, the usual day of the week for home video releases, so the date may well be inaccurate.
Official confirmation of this ultimate edition should come in Disney's forthcoming press release about Toy Story 3 on DVD and Blu-ray.
Are you looking forward to seeing your favourite Pixar films on 3-D Blu-ray? What's your take on 3-D TV in general? (I'm not very positive about it.)

We have Coraline in 3-D, but not made for a 3D TV, just a regular HD-TV, and it's great! if you are into 3-D. The whole experience is fun and feels real, it works really well. I think it would be entertaining to have a 3-D version, though I felt like the 3-D didn't do much in the theatres.. I do not think that Toy Story 3 needs 3-D to enhance anything, since the animation is perfect itself.
I welcome 3D technology, I just can't afford it yet, so I won't be able to enjoy a 3D TS3 blu ray for quite a while. I would need a new tv and player before I could.
Toy Story 3 does stand more than well enough on its own in 2D of course. what I think will happen is that TS3 will be released on the Nintendo 3DS early 2011, and I would get it for that, if the price is right. so that may be my next 3D experience with Toy Story 3, rather on on my tv.
What Kyle said: I'll be watching my 3D movies on the Nintendo 3DS next year!
I hate 3D. It's a stupid gimmick and it irks me that Pixar is so into it, especially since they don't even take advantage of it as a gimmick. Their use of 3D is so subtle that it makes the 3D surcharge a complete waste of money. I'm done seeing their movies in 3D.
There making dvds in 3-D now,Very cool!!:):)
I want it!!!
I have Coraline on DVD with the 3-D version, and it doesn't work so well at all with either of our TVs (take in mind both TVs are VERY old.) I don't have that much hope for the technology, but for those that it works well with, power to you! It's a good idea anyway.
If this is true, I will be the one of their customers. Been waiting for the released of 3D Toy Story. Can't wait till its December.
I have an HD 3D TV and Tangled looks great! I'm looking forward to some Pixar films released in 3D Blu-Ray.
