An anonymous tipster evidently located in San Francisco—Pixarian country—says the following regarding Brenda Chapman's status at Pixar: Unsubstantiated, yes, but intriguing.

Newspapers can be wrong, as we've learned over the decades. However, I hope Brenda gets things worked out, even if it means leaving that PIxar, a company that is really having me scratch my head more and more through the years.

I thought Pixar didn't have employment contracts due to the damage done by them during the animation wars of the 90s...At least that's what Catmull said in a SplineCast
I wonder how, and if, this will be confirmed.
I don't like the sound of this at all. :/
Pixar, indeed, now has contracts. this was not always the case. Most new employees sign on for 12 - 15 month stints per production.
