Randy Newman's "We Belong Together" from Toy Story 3 is among the 41 eligible songs accepted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for competition in the Original Song category at the 83rd Academy Awards.On January 6, the Academy will screen clips featuring each song for voting members of the Music Branch (those unable to attend will be sent a DVD screener). Members will then choose up to five nominees using an averaged point system vote.
The Academy announces its nominations on Jan. 25. The 83rd Annual Academy Awards ceremony takes place just over a month later, on February 27.

We Belong Together DESERVES to be at least nominated.
i really hope that the toy story 3 soundtrack gets nominated in general for best score, so we can have a promo cd of it!!!!!!!!!!
