Amazon.com has begun taking pre-orders for The Incredibles on Blu-ray (4-disc BD + DVD + Digital Copy combo pack), revealing a scheduled release date of April 12. On the same day, Cars will be reissued in a 2-disc BD + DVD combo pack that includes an admission to Cars 2.
DVDizzy.com brings us our first (watermarked) look at the final cover art for both titles, as well as a list of a few of the extras found on the The Incredibles Blu-ray. New content will include a filmmakers' roundtable, new Paths to Pixar and Studio Story featurettes, and a look at the creation of the film's end credits.
There's also going to be an interactive feature with the intriguing title ""New Nomanisan Island" Top Secret Redevelopment Plan". Could it be a set up (or hint at) the Incredibles sequel we've all wished for?

Sorry, Mike, i don't mean to be rude, but please don't even mention or suggest anything about another sequel... I think we already deserve an all-new pixar feature... And as for the blu-ray, i love the cover artwork! Do you think they will be releasing all their blu-rays in this format? you know... Like... split in two, and the main characters on one half? And i also wonder if there will be a re-release of ratatouille on blu-ray.... i'd love to see that!
Awesome, I only hope that it is a hint at The Incredibles 2!!!!! :D
Ahem, Alexandro... Incredibles 2 is the sequel we always have wanted. If I had to choose between an all-new feature (which I admit that there has been a lack of) and Incredibles 2, I'll take Incredibles 2.
We agree that we do need an all-new Pixar feature... but we disagree about *no* Incredibles 2.
Alexandro: Sorry, but I hate it when I hear fans of something talk about what they "deserve". Why do we deserve anything from them?
Apologies, Mike, for this not being at all related, but I just ran across this on the internet:

It's a Toy Story 3 poster featuring Stinky Pete. Is it real?
I do indeed like the new apparent half-design started with Toy Story 1 and 2
Hey Mike, this is an off topic comment, but you should check out yahoo.com where they have detailed bios and facts of Lightning Mcqueen's "pit crew" and a few other cool facts from the movie and its plotline. Just thought I'd give you the heads up. Awesome blog, I look at it daily!
As much as I think the Incredibles has one of the best set ups for a sequel of any Pixar film, I'm desperately hoping they wont make one, just because I want more originals!
incredibels 2?not gonna happen
Reuben: Nope.
I doubt Pixar would do an Incredibles sequel directed by anyone other than Brad Bird or his former right hand man Mark Andrews. As both of them are currently directing other projects, it couldn't happen until at least 2015 or so.
Oh cool now I can go out and get it!!!!!!
Thanks, Mike. I didn't think it was real , since the design is worse than the others posters and the image of Stinky Pete could've been taken from half a dozen sources. (Not to mention that he's not even in the film, either.)
But thanks for confirming it!
Incredibles 2 is much needed. I revisited the Incredibles and realized just how dark and sophisticated and 'adult appropriate' the movie is for a 'children's movie'. Talking dogs, toys and monsters are cute and all but I want something that really appeals to adults (and kids of course) that Brad Bird delivered in both the Incredibles and Ratatoullie.
As much as I want an Incredibles sequel... not now. Toy Story 3, Cars 2, Monsters Inc. 2... It's just too much all at once. I need more original Pixar films before I can stomach another sequel.
It's great that it's coming out on Blu-Ray though... but where is Finding Nemo BD? It's the only one missing now.
Is this the existing Cars print or an entirely new release?
My bummer with both Ratatouille and Cars on blu-ray is that they aren't using DTS-HD MA. Don't get me wrong, these uncompressed soundtracks are phenomenal. I just hate having to proactively select it EVERY time I watch the movie -- especially when it's buried in a sub-menu.
I also want that Pixar make Incredibles 2. Today I saw this video on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ncKI9sX3n4
Is this fake or they are already producing the Incredibles 2 sequel?
