Coming on the heels of today's reveal of concept art from the film, I just received a tip describing Disney/Pixar's plans to attach a teaser trailer for Brave to Cars 2.The source, who asked that their name not be used, says that Disney "recently requested that a Brave trailer [be] created to show in front of Cars 2."
The team at Pixar "are in crunch time to get the trailer animated so it can go through lighting, rendering, editing, etc." and meet the deadline to attach it to prints.
While this may not sound like big news—Pixar usually gives us a taste of their next film with each release—this is the first we've heard about a Brave trailer.

I hope this turns out to be true! I'd be almost as excited for that as I would be for Cars 2!
What?!? I was only going to watch this for Reese anyways. Well, forget it then...
Wooooooow!!! Yes!! Go back to the old tradition!!! And i agree with Robby :D

We should be getting a teaser for this by the end of this summer/beginning of fall.
Speaking of which, by the time this film comes out, the Mouse should hopefully have released another schedule showing us the road map ahead for the Hat and the Lamp. That way we can get a clearer picture of what films have been scheduled and what surprises await us.
Oh yeah, we need a new map of Pixar's upcoming material... all that's been revealed is no Newt (curses!) and Monsters Inc 2 and Dreamworks has already revealed material up to 2014. So it'd be about time.
I heard there might be a trailer with Cars 2... We shall wait and see!
I was disappointed when WALL-E didn't have a trailer for UP. And then UP didn't have a trailer for Toy Story 3. Toy Story 3 didn't have a trailer for Cars 2.
It would be nice to see teaser return before a new film with original animation and scripting. Monster's Inc, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and Cars all had 100% original animation and content. After that, it just became mostly cuts from the final film.
As you can tell, I've always been concerned Pixar has become too machine like and lost the human touch to relax and have some fun.
Pixar? "Become too machine-like and loose the human touch to relax and have some fun"? They have more fun than you think!
that link you posted to send tips, yet remain anonymous, says blo gun, haha
Seriously though, I gasped when I read the title of this post. I'm getting more and more excited for this film with each piece of concept art that is released.
Of course they have fun, but they also work incredibly hard and long hours to polish everything they do to a shine. That can take its toll.
It seems like they don't have enough time anymore to do these nice little touches. Perhaps because it doesn't make financial sense.
I just miss those original teasers.
Just watched the premier of Cars 2! and no trailer!!! I was disappointed. quite. :(
