The Cars 2 character rollout continues with Lewis Hamilton and David Hobbscap, inspired and voiced by real life racers Lewis Hamilton and David Hobbs. HeyUGuys got the first look and official descriptions for both characters.
With his striking black paint job, Lewis Hamilton is one of the coolest Cars cars ever. David Hobbscap, on the other hand, is a quintessentially British driver turned commentator.

I think with every "guest" character, I'm growing to dislike the enlarged cast of Cars. And they couldn't figure out a good car-related pun for Lewis Hamilton?

@Nini: Look at Toy Story 3, do you know how many new characters were in that? Besides, these will most likely be small roles for small characters.
Exactly what JAY Hosh said, Nini. Like with Toy Story 3 and all of its "LoadsAndLoadsOf"{new}"Characters" (a trope from TV Tropes), all these new characters will probably have only very minor roles in the film, maybe one or two lines. It's more of a publicity thing, saying "Hey look who this is voiced by!" and "Look at me! I'm a car in Pixar's latest film!". You know?
Hopefully these characters will branch out and have episodes of their own. (you can never have enough animation!!!!)

I know Cars had a big ol' raft of guests too, just it seems this has a flotilla of 'em. For me, it feels like it's… a little unneccesary to make it a leading part of the promotional elements for the film.

Love the new cars and the character voices my children and my self already love the movie and we have not seen it yet.
p.s give Lewis Hamilton plenty of lines he can act just look at the TV commercials he's been in.
Myself and many Formula One fans are wondering why the Marketing folks for Cars 2 aren't releasing anything with David Hobbs(cap) or Lewis Hamilton? At least I haven't seen anything released in the US. They'd be grabbed up in a heartbeat!!
