1:16 looks like it shows all the cars that are staying back in Radiator Springs.

I am really annoyed by all the skepticism that others are saying about "CARS 2", that it sucks and that it will only satisfy it's target audience.

I think that the reason why the original was criticized was bcuz of it's somewhat tired story. Yet, "CARS" was still extremely entertaining and well animated. And yes, it still deserved the Oscar for Best Animated Film over…"HAPPY FEET" (shiver).

By the trailer, one can tell that "CARS 2" will be different. It's plot won't be criticized as "tired, overused, etc." bcuz the mistaken spy story has only been used in a few films: Alfred Hitchcock's "NORTH BY NORTHWEST" comes to mind. "CARS 2" has James Bond-esque elements but it's not a James Bond movie per se.

In addition, the locations in the film - Italy, France, Japan - will display a unique variety common to spy films, but not to "CARS". As such, noted opportunities for showing animation awesomeness/Badassness will be there. Also unique for the film.

I don't want to see "CARS 2" crash and burn like many are predicting. I hope to God that it will surpass the original in the ways it has already shown in the trailer that many are criticizing in preparation for the film itself.

IT WILL ROCK!!!!! Pixar Blog, u ROCK too!!!

Visuals are going to be the best thing Pixar has EVER done. And the action is going to be flat-out awesome. This movie will be another legend among Pixar's list of great movies.

I admit to being a big skeptic about Cars 2, but this trailer is actually rather reassuring. It pitches the film as more of an action movie, which seems like the right way to go here. I still don't think it'll be top-shelf Pixar by any stretch, but my hope is restored that it will surpass the original.
