More original, never-before-seen concept art from Pixar's infamously cancelled picture Newt made its way online today, on the German-language Pixarblog.de (via Bleeding Cool).These images, created by Pixar art director/character designer Jason Deamer (IMDb page) appear to have been released by Deamer himself--presumably with Pixar's permission, as artists often do after production on a project has wrapped.
This set comes about six months after Pixar officially published thirty pieces of concept art from the film on Facebook.
Six months later my thoughts haven't changed: Newt looks like it had the potential to be the smartest, quirkiest movie ever to come out of the studio.

It's not about concept art.
It's about the story. And if the Pixar braintrust thought that the story is not good enough, I would bet my left arm that it wasn't good enough to be made.
Reminds me a lot of Rango.
So disappointed this got canceled, it looks fantastic! However, if pixar canceled it there must have been a good reason.
Me and my older sis wanted this to happen so bad. She's a biology teacher and uses multiple pixar characters in lesson plans and when discussing certain topics. This film would of been her favorite.
