Simon & Schuster announced this evening that they will be publishing the long-awaited authorized biography of Apple CEO and Pixar co-founder Steve Jobs early next year. The book, titled iSteve: The Book of Jobs, is being written by respected biographer Walter Isaacson, who has previously chronicled the lives of Albert Einstein and Benjamin Franklin, among others.
Jobs fully cooperated with Isaacson and granted him unprecedented access to the people closest to him. In a prepared statement, Simon & Schuster publisher Jonathan Karp calls the result a "landmark book".
Though a focus on Jobs' incredible career at Apple is natural, expect at least one chapter on his role at Pixar, the major part of which took place between 1986 and 2006. I'll be picking up a copy regardless.

Errm because...
Because he's a terrible man
It makes me worry that Jobs fears or knows that his condition is not good and he wants to make sure this book is out there on his terms.
Not much to say.
Anonymous #2: Is that you, Steve Ballmer?
Jobs isn't relevant to Pixar anymore. He saved the company from bankruptcy decades ago and that's it. No offense but I don't think we have any interest in the man beyond that.
I hate Anonymouses in this post... Are you all crazy? I mean, just because your mother gave birth to you [insert your age] years ago, does she lose all credit? Shame on you... I'm definitely buying it. Because of the Pixar chapter and because he's my hero! (:
His speech at Stanford changed my life. <3
In 1997, Apple was thought of the way AOL is thought of now. Today, Apple is worth more money than Microsoft, and is just behind Exxon for the USA's most valuable company.
Haters gonna hate, but IMHO Steve Jobs is the greatest story in the history of capitalism.
