CONTEST: Win a copy of The Art of Cars 2 [WINNER]

The nice folks at Chronicle Books have sent me a second advance copy of The Art of Cars 2 (review).

What am I going to do with it? Give it away, of course!

The 500th person to email pixarblogunofficial@yahoo.com correctly answering the following two questions gets the book:
  1. Who is the production designer of Cars 2?
  2. Who is the director of photography-lighting?
Subject line should be "Art of Cars 2 giveaway". Please include your full name and mailing address. Contest is open to readers in the U.S. and Canada and closes when 500 eligible entries are received (see comments). The winner will be announced shortly thereafter. Multiple entries will not be considered.
--------------------
And the winner is... Kaileen Kraemer of Plymouth, MN. The correct answers were 1. Harley Jessup; 2. Sharon Calahan. They could be found in this post. Kaileen's entry was my third blind click; the first two entries I drew had incorrect answers.

Good luck to you north american readers..! Wish I could take part in that contest, I´m dreaming about this "Art Of" books...
By the way, does anyone know how can I get one of those books delivered to Brazil? I´ve never done this before. Does Amazon ship it to international adresses?

Oddly, those two credits aren't on IMDb. So this will be tricker than most people are expecting.

Yes, Fernanda, Amazon does ship to international adresses. The only problem could be that shipping rates may be a little bit high, ALTHOUGH -for some reason- Amazon sells this books almost at half of their original price so in the end, even with shipping rates added to the price, it costs almost the same as in any bookstore in the U.S. I live in Mexico and have ordered like ... 8 'Art of...' books, and they arrive perfectly safe and on time (:

Jordan: Which is exactly why I picked them :)

When we have a winner, you'll need to tell us where we find names like this

BLAST! I know the name of the production designer but I haven't a clue about the lighting director. Wonder if it's the same person from the first film?

I kind of guessed the first time... but then ACTUALLY found the right answers just now... will I still be considered the second time?

please! :)

Thank you Alexandro, it´s good to know that. I think I´m gonna give it a try and order some of my favorites... Let´s see what happens...and how many weeks these books are gonna take until they find their way to the south of Brazil!

the irony of this "challenge" is that both names were disseminated in a previous post on this very blog

Wait, so we're supposed to wait until 499 people have answered correctly in order to win? My guess now is that there are about 5 five did.

Mike Bastoli said...

Believe me, it's a lot more than 5!

By the way, if entries don't reach 500 by next Tuesday, I'll pick someone at random. Sounds good?

I say pick at random anyways. Then we all have a shot! :-)

Mike Bastoli said...

Who else thinks I should pick at random?

Charles said...

Yeah, random, random!

George said...

I think picking at random may be for the best, it beats waiting for 500 emails, and having the 500th potentially have the wrong answer ;p

Mike Bastoli said...

Change of plans: I'll be picking someone at random tomorrow.

Sounds great. I regreted emailing too early, but I still have a chance now!

I mistyped on my iPad and left out my mailing address :( Am I disqualified??? (crossing my fingers that I'm not!)

MTM said...

Forgot my info. Can I just send it to you if picked?

Charles said...

@Marisa, yeah I'd say so. Let it be a lesson to proof-read your messages before sending them!

Yeah, I got the answers right even though I wasn't picked!

Are you proud of me, Mike? (Please, this means a lot to me coming from you)
