As we've learned over the past months, Cars 2 will delight viewers with a bunch of celebrity character cameos, from John Lassetire to Prince Wheeliam.
The latest cameo to be announced is Crabby, pictured above in character and film stills released by Disney/Pixar.
Crabby is voiced by Sig Hansen of the Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch. Hansen's crab fishing boat in the reality series is also named Northwestern.

His initials, "SH", is also there at the front of the boat. He works for Finn McMissile, apparently.
This is getting ludicrous, how many guest stars can you cram in sideways into a 90 minute film? One a minute maybe?

My guess is the film will be more on par with the first one - 115 minutes.
This has me nervous Cars 2 really is not looking like a great movie so far but time will tell.
So this is the guy that delivers Finn to that oil rig due south of Alaska.

I laughed at this. What a neat little idea.
Most impressive to me is the sophisticated ocean simulation. The Pixar FX guys are top drawer.
Not really a pop culture reference per se, it depends on how it's worked into the film.
