San Francisco Chronicle pop culture critic Peter Hartlaub recently spent a morning with Pixar creative chief John Lasseter and his wife Nancy at their Northern California home.
The video tour accompanies a story that will appear in tomorrow's print and paid electronic editions of the paper. It will made available for free online on Tuesday morning.
Not just any morning: April Fools' Day morning.
What's not a joke is Lasseter's collection of Hawaiian shirts. His penchant for the style is as strong as ever. He cops to owning over a thousand shirts, about 374 of which are in "active rotation" in his closet.

I always wonder about John and his myriad shirts: how many get made, who designs them, just how many he has which are Pixar/Disney specific, the best way to steal one, all have passed through my mind at least once.
Wow, that was hilarious! Thanks for sharing.
How awesome would it be, if on John's birthday, everyone at Pixar turned up for work wearing a Hawaiian shirt. I'd love to see that company photo!
John and Nancy are so cute together!
