Awesome trailer, the visuals look amazing! I can't wait to see more of this film. :D
I can't wait to see this movie! So stoked :)
This is going to be exactly awesome!
"The way the narration leads into the title is incredibly smart, isn't it?"
Exactly!
It ll be a great film and will close the mouths of all these critics who are writing now for Pixar's fall...
But i'm the only one to whom the way the camera moves in the trailer and the music heard reminds Avatar?
This looks INCREDIBLE! I still think the model work on Merida's face looks odd, but I'm not that concerned about that. So long as her character and the story are good.
I can't stop replaying it!!! This is gonna be AWESOME! I'd marry Merida if she were real! <3
BTW, nope, it doesn't remind me of Avatar.
pitch perfect teaser. one of pixar's better ones I think. also, glad to see that it's not being marketed as a goofy family comedy. it certainly does look like one of pixar's darkest. (which i also like)
I cant wait to hear Kelly Macdonald's give voice to Merida. :)
Now THAT'S what I'm talking about! :D
The horse's animation really impresses me. Just like everything else!
Oh lord, This just made my life. This is the most excited I've ever been for a new pixar film
However, prolly won't go to see cars 2 in theaters now because i basically only wanted to for this trailer : |
NOW WE ARE TALKING PIXAR! This trailer just gives me some hope. Merida's face still look weird even after seeing her in "motion". But the vistas are so beautiful and awe-inspiring I can hardly complain.
Really excited for this one. That bear looked fantastic.
I like the design departure, the sets are gorgeous and I can see some Ghibli influence in the use of rolling greenery. I think I'll start camping outside the theatre tonight.
Looks great!
I'm starting to think Pixar might have a hard time fitting either the Pizza Planet truck or A113 into this one. ;-)
A113 should be easy enough - you can put it anywhere. The truck... Not so much.
I have seen the trailer around 7 just to see the realism and majesty of its elements: the background, the castle, the animals (the most realistic-looking I've seen in a CG animation ever), and the camera's dynamics. Merida's face looks a bit weird actually (a very round face is uncommon in real-life than one squared :P) but maybe it serves to captivate the public her cartoony-looking face that contrast significantly with the ambiance and the animals. On the other hand, her hair shows a superb realistic demeanor.
maybe a pizza planet cart, or chariot or maybe a stand in ye olde market place. but on to the teaser.... AWESOME!!!! I Think Brenda Chapman was replaced because she couldn't give Brave the "edge or darkness" it needed. I wouldn't doubt her ability to make a cool scottish landscape or characters with her production designer, or to make a "classic Disney Princess Movie" but to give the characters and story some edge, i don't know. On the other hand who has more edge, darkness or action in their storytelling than Mark Andrews. i think both of their strengths will make a winning combination. while i think the character design is only good, i think the landscape and the bear are unparalleled. this will be one awesome movie.
I just can't stop replaying it, over and over again.
Maybe i'm psycho-analyzing this video but at 42 seconds into the video, Merida takes off her hood and roughly at eye/eye brow level on her right side is a lock of hair that is markedly redder than the majority of her hair. I'm no gentecist but i think that's the phenotype of doubly recessive genotype with slighty different hues of red or it could be a co-dominance between alleles of different reddish colors........or it could be a mistake by pixar. looking into the genetics of red hair it appears to be a recessive trait, which would explain why neither of Merida's parents have red hair yet she does. maybe i'm over thinking this but if anybody sees the lock of hair or finds a flaw in my genetic knowledge please leave a comment.
Yay, a Pixar film that seems to take itself seriously. Something on the lines of Ratatouille; good for kids but even better for parents. I hope the dark tone is here because we need more of these in animation!
:) I can't wait for this film.... :)))
The grass, the horse, her hair, and the bear .. all are beautiful. I can't say more. I will be on it, to create this perfect characters!
