Only one week left until The Pixar Blog becomes Big Screen Animation, the world’s newest, shiniest general animation news blog.
Visit BigScreenAnimation.com next Wednesday, November 16, to check it out.
I’ll be debuting a new version of the Big Screen Animation logo with a character designed by a very talented artist who’s currently working on The Legend of Tembo for Digital Domain.
(All visits to The Pixar Blog will redirect to Big Screen Animation starting on the 16th. For more on the transition, see my announcement post from September.)
It's quite cool to see the site growing and being recognized as a resource for folks interested in animation.
On Monday, I welcomed a new advertiser, The Animation Collaborative, founded by an amazing group of Pixar artists who are passionate about teaching animation and storytelling.
Did I mention the school is located directly across the street from Pixar? Be sure to take a look at their website (the instructor list is impressive). You can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

Shiny and new. I can't wait to see Big Screen Animation up and running! Can't wait to see the new logo either. Sounds great!
