The images look great and the synopsis sounds excellent too. Can't wait until it's out!

Can't wait! Although I find it a bit odd that there would be a high school in medieval Scotland.

to annonymous 2:

lasseter said in an interview way back, that in brave there are modern things with old things. they didnt want to make it the typical old medieval times. they added those things to it, i guess, so the audience could connect.

Too bad it looks and sounds so much like How to Train Your Dragon. That was a pretty good movie, Brave will probably be better, but it doesn't help that HTTYD inexplicably used scots voice actors for their Norwegian story, and also used a lot of large bearded characters wearing brown like we're seeing in these previews.

Looking forward to a female lead character in Brave though. 'Bout time.

I did not find the images, just the one here and the one with the king and queen. Pretty good the ones I saw.

Re: HTTYD - Vikings often would pillage and land in Scottish villages, so that's pretty much where the accents would have come from. Their culture mixed with that of celtic influences at times. Thus, the celtic musical sound also utilized in the film.

And yeah, some of the characters here are reminiscent of that film...

To Anonymous #1, the quote from the article says, "Andrews said "Brave" will be less about girl power and more about the oppositional relationship between mother Elinor and daughter Merida, likening the defiant red-haired princess to a scrutinized teenager who is forced to attend the same high school where her mother serves as the principal."
I don't think she really goes to high school, it was just a metaphor for their relationship. "Likening" means to compare to.

can't wait to see it!! sounds like a combination of how to train your dragon and brother bear(?)...

Andy G., Anonymous #1 here. Thanks for clarifying that. That's what happens when you skim articles. >.<

A probably silly question from a non-native speaker: In the teaser trailer, the v.o. narrator says: "The ancients spoke of it ... it is the heart of this fierce land (...)and (...) it is the one thing we must always be: brave".
Is that a somewhat odd sentence? I mean, "we must be - brave" makes sense, but can "brave" be the heart of the land, can you speak about "brave" - shouldn´t that be "courage", or "bravery" (i.e., a substantive)?
As I said, probably a silly question, but maybe you can help me, nevertheless. Thanks a lot!
