It's already available for pre-order from Amazon.com and will arrive before the short opens in theatres with Brave.
Director Enrico Casarosa posted a photo of the glossy cover to Twitter on Wednesday, shown at right.
He later followed up, tweeting:
"Read the La Luna book to my daughter tonight. She was so happy that the book has her name on it. It's dedicated to my dad, grandpa and her."Filled with "incredible illustrations" drawn from the short, the 40-page hardcover is designed for children ages four and up, but I suspect it'll be 'too good' for kids. If there's a short that's perfectly suited to a picture book adaptation, it's La Luna.

stuff like this makes life worth living. loving it!! cant wait!
You know what's funny? The preview list of the nominees in animated short for the Academy Awards. There are not Hawaiian Vacation and Small Fry, but La Luna is present, even when it's attached in a 2012 movie. I know that's not a problem, but I think it's... Well, I said it before: funny.
The cover is really cute. ^_^
And of course, it goes without saying that the book contains spoilers.
For some reason, the cover reminds me of Ponyo.
