Ice Age Parodies The Artist

Have a laugh watching this black-and-white parody of critical favourite The Artist, starring Scrat from Ice Age. It's promoting the series' fourth installment, Ice Age: Continental Drift, opening on July 13.

The next trailer for the film lands at iTunes Movie Trailers on March 5.

You'll cover yet ANOTHER Ice Age movie, but not Arrietty, the last chance an animation lover will have to see a hand-drawn animated film on the big screen until Frozen in 2013?

At this point, they'd be better off just making half hour Scrat shorts. Personally, I'm not too fond of him but a lot of people are so… yeah, they've never got much to say about the stuff outside of Scrat's antics which is a bit of a shame. Does make you wonder just if there'd even be a Ice Age 4 had Scrat not been there at all. I'd guess they wouldn't have gotten beyond the first.

I think a feature length Scrat animation would be a welcome break from the Ice Age saga.

Meh... It doesn't even show new footage, and the timing is pretty bad. When will Animation Studios learn that exploiting a franchise is never wise?

@Anonymous: Pretty sure Frozen is going to be 3d. It was originally to be 2d, but it underwent a major shift in development, including changing medium.
