This brings its total worldwide lifetime gross to $385,629,259, according to Hollywood number crunchers Box Office Mojo. The film is currently playing at 3,880 locations (2,731 in 3-D).
Ice Age 4's opening is the fourth best for an animated film so far this year, following
The Lorax ($70.2 million), Brave ($66.3) and Madagascar 3 ($60.3).
Did you see Ice Age: Continental Drift this weekend? If so, what did you think?

Wow, third best so far huh? Yeah, I can understand that but they could release a half-hour Scrat short and people would still go, the rest is merely padding in some ways. I did go see it and it was pretty much what I expected, just entertaining. Nothing great, nothing overly humorous or thrilling… just OK for the bar the franchise set itself.
Sorry if someone else has already pointed this out, but that would make it the fourth best, not third.
And no, I haven't seen it. I've only seen the first two. I love the first Ice Age but 'The Meltdown' soured me on the series, (except for Scrat!) and the trailers for the last two didn't do anything to peak my interest. I'll get 'em from Netflix eventually I'm sure, but I'm in no hurry.
Corrected.
