Finding Nemo 3D Featurette: 'Like You've Never Seen a 3-D Movie Before'

Watch this new featurette for Disney/Pixar's 3-D re-release of Finding Nemo, swimming into North American theatres on September 14 (sooner in other markets). It was uploaded to YouTube by Walt Disney Studios New Zealand.

I'm not too sure about Andrew Stanton's pitch that it's like he'd "never seen a 3-D movie before", but John Lasseter's description of how good the "particulate matter" looks with the added dimension sounds very appealing.

Yes but will I go see it because it's in 3D? Eh, probably not, it's a brilliant film but I dunno if I'm as swayed by talk of particulate matter as much as yourself, Mike.

I'm definitely going to see this in 3D. It's probably my only chance to do so, and this is, indeed, the perfect subject matter for the extra depth.

You better believe that "particulate matter" looks amazing, because it does! My friend and I were filled with awe at the look of the underwater scenes.

now did they re-redner it in 3d or did they just root it into fake 3d?

But I've seen this movie so many times already, since I own the DVD. It's a wonderful movie, but I'm not going to see it in theatres.

$Money Money Money Money Money$!

Monsters Inc Sterio-Scopic 3D is next, right?... I guess They'll do it to all of them now. Re-releases and "enhancement" forever! Seems ol' George Lucas really did have more influence over Pixar than we originally thought... other than selling the company to $teveJob$ and its whole inception, yadday yadda yah.

Still, Nemo really is one of the best films Pixar has done by far. So you'd better do a good job on Nemo 2 Emeryville!!!
