Pixar has revealed two new stills and plot details for their latest Toy Story Toon, Partysaurus Rex, which will be attached to Finding Nemo 3D on September 14.
Partysaurus Rex finds our favourite plastic dinosaur putting on a party for fellow "bath toys". Director Mark Walsh explains to EW:
"If you’re a bath toy you get really intense playtime. It’s like a party. Then when the water goes down you can’t move. You’re helpless. And that’s pathetic, these guys in bottom of the tub all the time."As the only one of the bath toys with limbs (puny as they may be), Rex is able to 'turn on the water and get the party going' for the rest of the toys. A 'glow-in-the-dark, bubble-filled rave' ensues. The short's dance music was created by electronic musician BT.
As you easily see, the top frame includes a a few references to other Pixar stories. I hope that toilet seat cover doesn't explain why there's going to be a Monsters, Inc. prequel instead of a sequel.
Partysaurus Rex is likely to premiere with Nemo 3D at the 37th Toronto International Film Festival in early September.

Aaah! I love the Sulley seat-cover!
LOL. IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW!!!!! RIP Sulley.
I'm probably not going to see Finding Nemo 3D, and I'm assuming this won't be included in Nemo's Blu-Ray release either, which means that I won't see this for a while. Do you know if Pixar is planning on releasing a Toy Story Toons DVD or some such in the near future?
Could Bonnie also be boo from monsters inc?
Anonymous #3: Pixar Short Films Collection Vol. 2 Is Coming To Germany This November. A North America Release Is Most Likely Coming Out Around That Time, With Partysaurus Rex Included.
Mkc10779: No.
Anonymous #5: Actually, That's A Good Therory.
Anonymous That Types Weird: Actually, it's not.
Anonymous #7: How So? P.S. So What If I Type Wierd? That's None Of Your Beeswax. No Offense.
Anonymous That Types Weird: They have completely different faces. Boo has straight, black hair, while Bonnie has curly brown hair. Sulley's fur being the seat cover would be weird if this was in the Monsters universe, but it's just a cute reference in the Toy Story universe.
Your typing is indeed, none of my beeswax. It is simply an identifier, since you're the only one typing like that. And it's weird, so, yeah. No offense.
I do love the Sulley cover. Hehe. The whole thing looks really cute!
