Watch: Monsters University Full UK Trailer

A brand new, full-length trailer for Pixar's Monsters University, opening in theatres June 21, has been unleashed by Walt Disney Studios UK. Leave any skepticism at the door and watch—

Wasn't that fun? I think it safe to say that MU is going to appeal to teens and adults a lot more than Cars 2 and Brave. Pixar can rest easy knowing they have another box office winner in the bag.

Along with the new trailer, Disney/Pixar also revealed this morning that Dame Helen Mirren is part of the voice cast, lending her talents to the seriously freaky Dean Hardscrabble.

I love this trailer, a lot. However, one of my biggest concerns regarding this movie was whether or not Mike and Sully would actually meet at the University. Given the events of the trailer, it appears they do. Unfortunately, my concern became real by this. I say "unfortunately", because in the locker room scene in Monsters Inc, Mike tells Sully, "you've been jealous of my good looks since the 4th grade."

Huh, not being released here until July 12st. Great trailer though, still pretty impressed at how young they made Mike and Sulley. Can't wait to see the other characters like Randall.

Anonymous: Good catch, but that could have just been hyperbole from Mike.

I like Helen Mirren! I bet her character is gonna be the villain. Movie looks promising! Beautifully animated as always.

It doesn't look too bad. After the big flop that was Cars 2, and Brave being merely "okay," I still feel a little sceptical. It looks fun enough, I must say. But I'm going to be CAUTIOUSLY optimistic.

HOLY MOLLY!!! It looks AWESOME! I can't wait for it! Didn't finish watching it, though. I want the whole plot to be a mystery to me.

JUNE 21ST!! COME TO ME!!!

I am no longer thinking that this will be like Cars 2 and now think it will be more like Toy Story 2 instead.

Possible Annie Award nomination for Helen Mirren? Maybe?

Looks great but I can't help feeling it's more like the first Toy Story now. Two guys meet for the first time and they had each other. And then something happens and they become the best of buddies.

Ho-hum!

This actually sounds like a bit of a departure from the first Toy Story. ;)
