Despicable Me 2 Gets a Villainous New Trailer

Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment released a new full length trailer for Despicable Me 2 on iTunes Movie Trailers today—one of the most disjointed trailers in recent memory. It doesn't sell the story, focusing instead on the characters.

Directed by Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud, the sequel to 2010's Despicable Me (which raked in over $540 million globally) opens on July 3. Steve Carell reprises his role as supervillain Gru.

So confused on the plot... Illumination is clearly priding themselves on their characters (which I don't find very likable), and the story probably will be sub par.

How can they be making a second one? The first one was incredibly stupid and immature, and now they're gonna make a second one? Quoting the Bookworm in TS3, "Yeesh."

Quoting Mater in Air Mater, "I'm gonna be sick!"

Well, I find them amusing - to each their own!

Disjointed is the keyword here. It really felt like a complete mess, now imagine how the movie will be.
